The first Lady of Ekiti State, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji has implored all government sectors craving success to collaborate with Journalists, as they are the body that can either make or mar a government.

Dr Oyebanji made this call in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital while receiving the Executives members of the state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).

The Governor’s Wife explained that media plays critical role in success of any government, adding that building a strong partnership with them would enable government to achieve its dream of making life better for citizens.

“Any government that will survive should not toy with journalist because the institution is very close to the people” she said.

She thereby vowed to support the Union within the resources in the capacity of her office, while also soliciting their support towards the success of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji.

On his part, the Chairman of NUJ Ekiti State Council, Comrade Rotimi Ojomoyela pledged the support of the members of the union for the present administration, while also intimating Dr Oyebanji with the Programmes lined up to mark the press week of the union, imploring her to grace the occasion.
