Pastor Paul Enenche of Dunamis International Gospel Centre has apologised to Vera Ayim, following backlash from netizens.
NEWSTODAYNG recalls that Ayim had earlier gone to church to testify about being the first graduate in her family, claiming to hold a “BSc in Law” from the Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).
However, Pastor Enenche interjected during her testimony, calling her a liar.
In response to the ensuing social media uproar and calls for an apology, Pastor Enenche has clarified that his actions were not intended to disgrace Ayim but rather his concern stemmed from what he perceived as inconsistencies in her testimony, particularly regarding her use of English and her description of her degree as a “BSc in Law,”.
He emphasized that the church is committed to excellence and truthfulness.
Pastor Enenche’s personal assistant, Sylvester Edoh, released a statement on behalf of the church, affirming that Pastor Enenche had reached out to Ayim personally to address the situation.
The statement reiterated that Pastor Enenche’s actions were motivated by a desire to uphold standards of excellence and truth, rather than to cause harm or embarrassment.

It also expressed regret for any inconvenience or hurt caused to Ayim and assured of the church’s commitment to supporting her both physically and spiritually.
