Operatives of the Lagos State Command of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested two self-acclaimed spiritualists, Alfa Abiodun Ibrahim and Wale Adifala for allegedly defrauding an aspiring House of Representatives member in Ekiti State, of the sum of N24 million.
The alleged money, according to the spiritualists was to secure spiritual help for the politician’s ambition.
A statement made available to journalists by EFCC stated that the politician petitioned the commission when the whole efforts came to a dead end.
According to the statement, one of the culprits, Adifala admitted to collecting the sum of money from their victim which was used to perform sacrifice for the victim.
‘’Our own is just to pray and do the necessary sacrifices, which we did, and to leave the rest to God. However, along the line, the zoning for the Reps seat was taken away from Oye-Ekiti to Ikole-Ekiti”,said.
