The Ekiti Agro Marshall on Thursday paraded a suspected drug dealer in the state, David Jimoh who specializes in the production and sales of Indian hemp.
Speaking with journalists, the commander of the corps, Oni Johnson said the suspect was arrested when men of the corps were combing a bush in Eda Ile Local Government Area of the State.
The commander added that over 20 hectares of cannabis farm were discovered while some exhibits were also recovered from the prime suspect.
His words, “Men of Agro Marshall attached to Omuo Ekiti and saw some hoodlums who entered the bush of Eda Ile. On getting there, the men were attacked by gunmen but having repelled the attack, the suspects fled to the bush in Isibode Ara Ikole bush.
“While combing the bush, we discovered a cannabis farm of about 20 hectares of land and we also recovered some exhibits from the prime suspect.”
He noted that the suspect who was born and brought up in Ogbese, Ondo State has been in the business for decades.
The suspect was also alleged to have offered bribe of N500,000 to the Commander but was rejected.
Commander Oni added the suspect will be handed over to the Ekiti State Police Command for investigation and subsequent prosecution.
In an interview, the suspect, David Jimoh confessed to committing the crime.
