Members of Editorial Community Development Service(CDS) of National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Ado-ekiti, Ekiti State on Thursday went for a tour in Voice FM 89. 9 FM Radio Station to familiarise with its operations.
Speaking with the Corps Members, the General Manager of the Voice FM, Mr. Francis Akinmoju charged the them to be at the top of the game in their chosen career.
In his words: “I want you to be the best in your career, a lot of you will be a broadcaster like me, I want you to strive very hard to be the best that you can be, because I know that the sky is the limit for you.
“Please for God’s sake, do not forget your parents who have strived very hard to make you what you are today
“Please any where you find your self, try to humble yourself and remember where you came from.
“I came from a humble beginning but I have never forgotten where I came from.
“God almighty will bless you and I’m looking forward to bringing some of you here to become our broadcaster” he said.
A voice FM staff from the ICT department, Philip Orga, led the corps members to the different departments of the radio station, where they were educated on the basis of each department varying from the live studio, Recording studio, engineering studio, programmes and marketing room, news room and ICT room.
On his part, the purpose of the visit, according to the President of the CDS group, Oghenede Richard Olawale, is an avenue for graduates who studied Mass Communication especially those venturing in broadcasting to get in contact with how a radio station looks like.
He therefore thanked the General Manager for his advice and contributions to the corps members.
