The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has signed the N122, 669, 039,657.27 billion Ekiti State 2022 Supplementary Appropriation Bill into Law.

Governor Oyebanji, while signing the appropriation bill into law at the executive chamber in Ado-Ekiti, expressed delight for performing his first legislative function in the state.

Oyebanji who spoke on the legislative crisis in the state house of assembly, noting that the assembly in the state had capacity to solve their internal crisis called on the lawmakers to see that before the end of the year, they would have concluded deliberations on the 2023 appropriate budget and ready for signing.

“We should place the intetest of the state and raise above internal crisis for progress and development of our state”, He said.

Governor Oyebanji therefore commended the elders and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for their quick resolves to put the crisis behind us.

Oyebanji, however pleaded with non-APC members to leave the party alone, saying the crisis have been resolved.


Present at the signing ceremony are; the deputy Governor, Mrs. Monisade Afuye, the SSG, HoS, the clerk of the assembly, Mr. Yemi Esan, the lawmakers and top government functionaries.
