The Ekiti State Government, through the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) has stated that all public secondary schools in the State will be renovated ahead of resumption to further create conducive learning environment and promote excellent performance among Students.

In a statement made available to Pressmen by the former Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs, Chief Niyi Ojo, he stated that the AGILE project is a World Bank assisted project which is facilitated by Ekiti State government through the office of the first Lady to enhance learning opportunities for girls and keep them safe in Schools.

He added that the Ekiti AGILE project will also include empowering adolescent School girls with useful skills that could help them transit to adulthood successfully, training them how to use digital mobile decides as well as provision of learning materials and many other benefits.

Meanwhile, he described the allegation in some quarters that the state Government was being laccadesical about security issue as untrue, stating that any measure or strategy being put in place by security operatives to curb the menace of kidnapping in the state may not have been made public to avoid compromise.

He thereby pleaded traditional rulers, religious and community leaders and other stakeholders at different grassroots areas to see security of lives and property in their areas as a collective responsibility, adding that everyone should pay attention to happenings in their immediate environments.
