The Chairman Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Ekiti State Wing, Comrade Oke Emmanuel, has congratulated all teachers in Ekiti State for the successful completion of 2021/2022 academic session and for deepening the fountain of knowledge in Ekiti State.
Oke who could not hide his joy during press interview in Ado-Ekiti lauded the efficiency and effectiveness of all teachers during the just concluded session.
He noted that during the just concluded session, despite the high level of insecurity in Nigeria, the teachers in Ekiti did not experience kidnapping, banditry, armed robbery or any other challenge that has bedevelled the country.
He also implored all teachers to use this holiday period to rest, learn new ways to discharge their duties and look after their general wellbeing.
Oke also called on the Ekiti State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, as a matter of urgency to fulfill his promises to teachers in Ekiti State before the expiration of his tenure by paying all outstanding salary arrears, payment of cooperative deductions and other entitlements that the teachers in Ekiti State are owed.
He said that: ‘’Payment of outstanding entitlements of Teachers will serve as moral booster to teachers, thereby getting the best out of them in the coming session.’’
