The Ekiti State Police Command has presented certificate of commendation to forty-nine officers in the command for their professionalism, hard work and dedication to duty in the fight against crime and criminality in the state.
The newly promoted Assistant Inspector General of Police and Commissioner in Ekiti, AIG Akinwale Adeniran, in his speech at the end of the year ceremony, promised that the command will continue to ensure that Ekiti residents are safe and secured during the festive period in the state.
AIG Adeniran noted that the command is celebrating success and the people’s cooperation to fight crime in the state, stressing that the command had in the years been able to reduce crime to the bearest minimum.
Adeniran commended the people of Ekiti for their support and cooperation which he said assisted the command to overcome the security he met when he was newly posted to Ekiti.
Stakeholders at the event including the Chairman, Ekiti Council of Traditional rulers, Oba Ayorinde Ilori-Faboro, religious leaders, transport leaders, youths and others commended the leadership qualities of the new AIG and his passion to fight crime in the state, which including patrolling the state in the night hours to root out criminals in their hide-out.
