The Ekiti State Government has urged residents to keep their communities clean and healthy as the rainy season approaches.
This was disclosed on Ekiti Progress Twitter handle, “Let’s keep our communities clean and healthy! As the rainy season approaches, it’s important to remember not to put dirt in drainages. When rainwater can’t flow freely through the drainages due to blockage caused by dirt and debris.
“It can cause flooding and damage to our homes and businesses. It can also lead to the spread of waterborne diseases and cause environmental pollution.
“We can all do our part to prevent these negative consequences by disposing of our waste properly and keeping our streets, gutters and drainages free of debris. Let’s work together to protect our community and keep it beautiful. Thank you, God bless Ekiti State.” It reads.
