… transcripts ready within 72 hours

As Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, (EKSU) holds its 27th Convocation ceremony on Wednesday, no fewer than 79 students out of the 5,963 graduands bagged first-class honours.

The Vice Chancellor of the Institution, Professor Edward Olanipekun disclosed this during a press conference marking this year’s convocation at the School’s senate chamber on monday.

Prof. Olanipekun also revealed that the Management has set up a Committee to investigate the recent students’ unrest led to the closure of the Varsity for two weeks.

The VC added that preparations have been finalized to bring the students back in phases to write their exams.

In his words, “The issue of the students unrest is being addressed. Preparations have been finalized to bring the students back in phases to write their exams. A committee has also been set up to look into the cause of the students’ unrest.” He said.

On another development, the Vice Chancellor stated that mechanisms have been put in place for online processing and delivery of transcripts to any global destination within 72 hours of request.

“With the recent migration of our portal to a dedicated cloud server, collection of fees and other payments in the University is now seamless. We have put in place a mechanism for online processing and delivery of transcripts to any global destination within 72 hours of request. For the second time, eligible graduands will be collecting their certificates after the ceremony.
