A stalwart of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Erelu Kemi Elebutte-Halle, has grieved over the death of a two-time commissioner in Ekiti State, Diran Adesua.

In her condolence message, Elebute-Halle, who was a gubernatorial candidate under the platform of Action Democratic Party (ADP) in 2022, described the death of the deceased as a great loss to Ekiti and Nigeria at large.

She described the former commissioner as an exemplary figure, renowned for his honesty and unwavering commitment to the country.

She said Adesua’s remarkable contributions to his profession, community and entire state will forever be cherished and held in high esteem.

Her words, “Late Adesua was a trustworthy man who lived for God and humanity with immeasurable love and compassion to all”, she stated.

She encouraged the grieving family to find solace in the remarkable life he lived which was marked by unequalled commitment to serving God and humanity.

“I commiserate with His Excellency, governor Biodun Oyebanji,Olomuo-in-council, the immediate family and members of APC over the death of this great son of the Land of Honour”.

Adesua, who hailed from Omuo-Ekiti was one of the longest serving commissioner in the state, having served as a commissioner for Works under the administration of the first executive governor of Ekiti State,Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo, between 1999-2003 and later as commissioner for Housing & Urban Development under the immediate past government of Dr. Kayode Fayemi.

The former Commissioner who died in the early hours of Saturday,15th June,2024,was a governorship aspirant under the platform of APC during 2018 gubernatorial election.

In a related development, Erelu Kemi Elebutte-Halle also extended her heartfelt condolences to the family of a former Commissioner for Education in Ekiti State, Chief Titilayo Ojo.

Erelu Elebutte-Halle described Ojo, who served as a commissioner for education during the first civilian administration of Otunba Niyi Adebayo, as a mother figure to members of All Progressive Congress in Ikole local government where she hailed from and Ekiti State at large.

She said the deceased’s contributions to the development of Ekiti State will not be forgotten.

She noted that the deceased was one of the pioneer commissioners,who laid a solid foundation for the development of the state.

“I commiserate with her husband, children and the entire family of Ojo over the death of their Matriarch. I pray to God to console you and grant the soul of the departed eternal rest”.

Similarly, Elebutte-Halle expressed shock over the sudden demise of a former member of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon. Henry Olusanya Aladeyelu.

Hon. Olusanya Aladeyelu who represented Ifelodun/Irepodun Constituency ll in Ekiti 5th assembly,died in the early hours of Monday,17th June,2024, after involved in a fatal road accident at the nation’s capital,Abuja.

Erelu Elebutte-Halle described the late lawmaker as a refined politician who mingled freely with people from other parties.

“I am so Saddened by the death of a Dear Brother and a Great Friend. I am so Broken by this evil news and shocking occurrence and it’s hard to say Goodnight and Goodbye forever. I wished a miracle can bring him back”. She stated
