The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Malam Muhammad Musa Bello, has commiserated with the Traditional Rulers Council in the territory over the demise of the Etsu of Yaba chiefdom in Abaji Area Council, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu.

Speaking when he led the funeral prayers of the late monarch yesterday in Yaba, the Minister described the deceased as an upright leader who worked tirelessly for the wellbeing of members of his community during his lifetime.

He expressed his deepest condolences to the people of Yaba chiefdom and Abaji Area Council as a whole over the loss of the well-loved traditional ruler.


The deceased, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu who is the traditional ruler of Yaba in Abaji area council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), reportedly slumped and died in his palace.

His demise was disclosed by a member of the deceased family, Shuaibu Abdullahi, who revealed that the monarch died while on his way to observe Magrib prayers, within his palace.

He said the 62-year-old monarch slumped suddenly and his aides rushed him to Abaji General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

“Immediately he slumped, they moved him inside the car to the hospital. But unfortunately on arrival at the hospital, doctors confirmed him dead.” he said.
