The Rector of The Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, Engr. Temitope John Alake has assured the members of staff as well as the students of the institution of his unwavering commitment to their welfare.

Dr. Alake, who assumed office as the Rector of the institution following the recommencement of academic activities in the school after the 2023 election break, gave this assurance during his maiden meeting as the chairman of the institution on Friday, 24th March 2023.

Speaking on the hallmark and vision of his administration, the new helmsman revealed that ‘DISECT’ which he gave loosely gave its full meaning as Discipline, Dedication, Integrity, Sacrifice, Service, Excellence, Creativity and Teamwork will be the modus operandi of his administration.

Speaking further, he said that his vision, ‘DISECT’, has necessitated the institution to reshuffle administrative heads and make fresh appointments.

Thus, he announced new changes ranging from Directorates, specialized Centres to other arms of the Polytechnic Administration. The new helmsmen across the administrative arms of the Institution include: Dr. Olusola Luke Oluwagbuyi as Dean, Continuing Education Centre; Mr. Oladapo P. Ajibola as Sub-Dean, Students’ Affairs; Mr. Olusola G. Adedara as Director, Academic planning; Dr. Charles A. Ologunde as Director, CRID; Dr. Samuel N. Abereola as Deputy Director, CRID (SBS);
Dr. (Mrs.) Olufunke A. Fasuyi as Deputy Director, CRID (SES); Mr. Remi Akinyemi as Director, Ext. Linkage & Advancement; Dr. Braimoh O. Jimoh as Director, CEDVS; Dr. Femi S. Omotayo as Deputy Director, CEDVS (Agric.); Dr. Ayodeji Bamisaye as Deputy Director, CEDVS
(Academic and Skill Development) and many others.

In the same vein, Dr. Alake lauded the contributions of past and present leadership of the institution. He appealed to team members of staff to eschew all forms of division and bitterness, urging them to regard themselves as brothers and sisters who, “in spite of any past disagreements, must love one another and work as a team to attain the beckoning lofty heights for the Polytechnic.”

The new Rector also counselled the Polytechnic Staff to be patient with his administration in delivering the dividends of good governance, stressing that he has a open-door policy that admits constructive criticism.
