The Federal Government has successfully repatriated  over a hundred Nigerians who were stranded in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

This development was confirmed in a statement issued by Bashir Garga, the National Emergency Management Agency’s (NEMA) Zonal Director for the North Central, in Abuja.

The returnees, totaled 190,  arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at 5:57 a.m. on Tuesday and were welcomed by a combined team of government officials led by NEMA.

Upon arrival, the returnees underwent profiling and documentation by the relevant agencies. Additionally, they were sensitised on the need to exhibit decorum and responsibility as they reintegrate into society.

“The Federal Government urges all Nigerians, wherever they may be, to act as exemplary ambassadors of their country, by upholding the fundamental values of patriotism, rule of law, decency, and integrity,” the statement read.

The coordinated effort reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of its citizens abroad.
