The Senior officer, Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commissio, ICPC, Ekiti State Command, Jemighalu Owolabi has said corps members have a role to play as youths in the fight against corrupt practices.
Jemighalu made this statement at Ise-Orun/Emure Orientation camp while sensitising corps members on corruption and its related offences.
He said “ICPC is partnering with NYSC to interact with the youths and corp members to fight corruption.
“ICPC fight general corruption while EFCC fight majorly on financial corruption.”
The senior officer further revealed that corruption has many faces such as dishonesty, extortion, imposition, embezzlement of public funds which all emanate from the heart.
In addition, he added that fight against corruption demands for accountability in all areas.
He therefore enjoined the corps members to report incidents of corruption and become active fighters of corruption by educating others people and refusing to participate in any act of corruption.
