The Presidential running mate of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu of All Progressive Congress (APC), Kashim Shettim, has charged Nigerians to vote them come 2023, as they remain the only individuals who have the might to stir the ship of Nigeria successfully.

Shettima made this call at the 62nd Nigerian Bar Association(NBA) Annual General Conference in Lagos.

He noted that their administration would run and address issues on economy, ecology and security.

He cited some best Schools in the Country while he was the Governor of Borno, adding that the ideas would be replicated in Lagos, and some other frontline states.

He lamented over the instability of the economy, stressing that the potent tool to stabilise the Nigerian currency is to diversify resources.

He recalled that the highest budget that Nigeria has ever reached was 32 billion dollars under the regime of Goodluck Jonathan in 2013, noting Brazil has a budget of 659 billion dollars with a budget performance of 90 percent.

He added that Nigeria is blessed with mineral resources, which is why it’s absolutely essential to grow her economy.

In his words, “Nigerians should follow who know road. From day one, we would hit the ground, running and addressing issues on economy, ecology and security.”

“And we have the antecedents, I built some of the best schools in Nigeria, go to Borno and see wonders, you will never believe there is a place like that.”

“We are going to replicate our ideas in Lagos, Borno and some other frontline states.”

“Our economy is suffering from internal malice, and external grievances.”

“One potent tool of stabilising the naira to upgrow the economy is by diversification of our resources.”

“The highest budget we have ever reached was 32 billion dollars under Jonathan Regime in 2013. Let us compare it all, we have a population of 200 million, Brazil also has the same and their budget is 659 billion dollars, with a budget performance of 90 percent.”

“Nigeria is a great nation but, changed by inattitude, changed by corruption, changed by incapacity.”

“This is why it’s absolutely essential that we grow the economy and ours is one of the few oil and gas nations that is blessed with tremendous mineral resources.”
