calls on politicians to follow suit in eradicating hunger

 

Bukola Olanrewaju Fajuyi Foundation (BOFF) has doled out palliatives to no fewer than 100 widows in Ekiti state, in a bid to ameliorate poverty and end hunger among the less privileged in the state.

Speaking with journalists in Ado-Ekiti on Sunday, the founder of the foundation, Bukola Fajuyi said the purpose of the empowerment was to assist the less privileged in making their ends meet.

Her words. “We can see and and feel the situation of the country how ‘goodr res’ it is. I thought of it to assist the less privileged and widow in our society.

“This is to give a helping hand to this widows and less privileged women. With what God has given unto me and the foundation by showing hands of love, we want to put smiles on the faces of these widow”.

She also appealed to politicians in the state to follow suit by empowering youths and the less privileged in order the ameliorate the current economic hardship in the state.

“I want to appeal buoyant individuals to give to the society and to our politicians in particular to come out and assist these widows in order to end hunger in the land”.

One of the beneficiaries, Mary Hebrom hailed the founder for the assistance, adding that the state would be a better place if everyone follows suit.

Also, Kikelomo Adewole expressed her delight at the gesture despite the harsh economy of the country.

“I was not aware of this and I was just called to receive it. I didn’t expect this, it was not planned but I pray God will reward her

abundantly”.

Palliatives given include: Rice, Garri, Noodles, Detergents, among others.
