The Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, has taken to her media Handle to appreciate loyalists who supported her during the Lagos State gubernatorial election.
The Deputy Governorship candidate of People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Lagos State, stated this on her media handle to respond to Netizens who queried her absence on Social media after she lost the gubernatorial election.
While expressing appreciation to her loyalists in a statement issued on her Instagram page, she encouraged Nigerians not to give up on the country because of the outcome of the result.
She added the journey to the ballot was a learning curve for her and she sincerely does not regret taking the huge step.
NEWSTODAYNG recalled that she deleted all campaign posts on her social media pages after the opposition party lost the election, which fans were quick to notice.
A fan wrote, “Madam Funke, I site you… Longest time.. you run away from us abi wot happen?”
Funke responded, “Dem too dey insult people on this app, so I stay off.”
