The Initiator of No Mother No Information, (NMNI), Deborah Christopher has sensitised Students of Christ Girls Secondary School in Ekiti State, as a way of combating moral degradation and female molestation in the society.
The maiden Programme by the Group was held at the school premises in Ado-Ekiti on Friday, tagged “Making the best use of life.”
Deborah explained the inspiration behind the Programme initiative, stating that the movement was inspired by the observed degradation amongst young girls as a result of scarce information on morals and modesty for the coming generation.
In her words, ” I had this vision long time ago about girls as these days, we see most of them doing the wrong things because they don’t have enough information and people to tell them what is right or wrong.
“The theme of the Programme is “Making The Best Out of Life,” because at this stage they need to make the best use out of their lives in terms of their career, spiritual life, relationship because most of them are keeping abusive relationships and most of them are going into sexual immorality.
“We came to tell them that, this is not the stage to start keeping boy friends because at the end of the day, they won’t be able to achieve anything. We came to encourage them that live a good life because God is interested in their lives and they can still become what God wants them to be. This whole Initiative is to enlighten them on the information they need to become better mothers in future.”
Revealing the concept as inspired by God, Deborah expressed confidence in the Initiative to change the negative orientation the girl child has concerning morals, relationship and purity, stressing on intention to host the next session by December.
Speaking with some of the Students, Aderemi Taiwo promised to inculcate purity and modesty in her conducts and life style.
Similarly, Ajisafe Faith pledged to uphold the concept of purity until marriage, while standing out in terms of morals and modesty irrespective of peer pressure.
