News reaching NEWSTODAYNG says that President Bola Tinubu had pressured Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, to step down as the Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).

According to sources, Tinubu also asked Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, Kusenla III, and Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde K1 De Ultimate to pressure MC Oluomo to step down.

“MC Oluomo was forced by President Bola Tinubu to leave the position,”

MC Oluomo is one of Tinubu’s allies and loyalists, whose association with the President has been questioned by members of the public.

Reports have it that MC Oluomo was encouraged to vie to become the National President of NURTW, which is said to be less financially attractive than its national leadership.

A source said, “MC Oluomo was forced to step down. I learned yesterday that MC Oluomo visited Tinubu in his house and the press was not allowed to cover it.

“My sources told me that Tinubu also thinks MC Oluomo is too controversial and did not want to appear with him on camera. Tinubu prevailed on MC Oluomo to step down. He instructed Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, Kusenla III, and Wasiu Ayinde K1, the Fuji musician to pass the message to MC Oluomo that he needs to step down as NURTW Lagos chairman or else they will let him be ‘disgraced’ through removal.

“They gave him national president where he cannot get big money like Lagos,” another source said.

In the meantime, the current Treasurer of the union in the state, Mustapha Adekunle, popularly known as Sego will take over the reins at the Lagos State secretariat of the transport workers’ union.

NEWSTODAYNG recalled that in October 2018, MC Oluomo described himself as a loyalist of Tinubu in an Instagram post.

According to MC Oluomo, Tinubu owns him and the APC and whatever he (Tinubu) wants is what he (MC Oluomo) will support.

He wrote on his Instagram page, “I am an Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Jagaban loyalist, I wear the Jagaban jersey, I’ve been a loyalist since 1999, the first mecca i went is through his excellence in the year 2000, moreso, he as done alot for me, he made me who i am today our relationship has been was very cordial and strong in the area that I grew up in.

“So I’m one of his loyalist that have strong believe in him, he own the party and any where his interest belong I Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya Mc Oluomo belong. I and my people in Oshodi formerly endorse HE Akinwunmi Ambode for 2nd term because his government is still working in the shadow of the party national leader, but now the case is vice-visa i have to follow the interest of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the party decision.

“If Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu again says is no more Babajide Sanwo-Olu but someone else, so shall it be.”
