Media personality, Rita has recounted how she almost landed in jail after sharing her hotspot with a stranger
According to her, “I was at an event when a lady sitting on the same table with me begged everyone seated to share her data, but I was the only one that responded after ignoring the warmings of my friend”.
“The following day, I got a message that 95% of my data has been used up. This was strange to me as I usually roll over my data to the following month”.
“Three days later, I got a call that I downloaded a fraudulent material on my phone with the timing and location stated and this could have landed me in jail if I had not explained myself”. She stated.
She cautioned netizens never to share their data with strangers.
