Renowned Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey, popularly known as Hilda Baci, has shared her preference for a partner who doesn’t know how to cook.
In a viral podcast video, the former Guinness World Record holder expressed her love for cooking and emphasized that she wouldn’t want a man who outshines her skills in the kitchen. Hilda Baci sees cooking as a way of showing love and care, particularly for those she values.
In the video, she stated, “I don’t want a man that knows how to cook. I don’t want it. I like cooking so much. My friends would tell you like Hilda would show you love, she will send you food. You will cook for you. That’s kind of one of the things I like to do for people that I care about, especially for my man.”
According to her, her love language centres around her man ordering food for her. She expressed her willingness to be woken up in the middle of the night to cook for her man if he desires a specific dish. For Hilda Baci, a man who appreciates her cooking and is comfortable ordering food for her is an ideal partner.
