Tension erupted in Adeniji Adele area of Lagos Island as 20-year-old man named Maxwell Nweke was arrested by the state’s police command for using puff puff worth #500 to abduct five boys in the state.

According to Benjamin Hundeyin, the public relations officer of the state’s command, Nweke lured the kids by purchasing N500 worth of puff-puff before the victims raised alarm after realizing that Nweke was leading them to an unknown location.

According to him, “Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect bought puff-puff worth N200 from one of them and immediately paid for it. He thereafter collected puff-puff worth N500 and asked the boys to follow him to Lagos Island to collect the money. While on the way, the boys suspected that he was luring them to an unknown place. The boys immediately raised an alarm that warranted the suspect’s arrest. The boys have been reunited with their parents and the investigation is ongoing.”

This was just after the operative also arrested a woman (name withheld) in Ojurowo, Folumo, Isale Eko area of Lagos Island, for kidnapping and selling kids.

According to police, the woman had kidnapped 5 children from the Ijora area of the state and transported them to Isale Eko with the intention of selling them for a total of N250,000.
