A former governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun state, Segun Sowunmi has alleged Southeastern people of attempting to take over south west.

The politician stated this on a podcast “Mic On” anchored by a seasoned Journalist, Seun Okinbaloye.

He noted that President Bola Tinubu has not fought for the interest of only yoruba people but he’s being frequently accused of running a family business affairs at the presidency.

His words: “I look at Twitter and see how young people of the tribe hold each others neck. And I was asking myself is there is anybody in charge of this country?

“How will anyone attack Yoruba and say they don’t have the right to the directive principles of their own region?

“President Bola Tinubu did not say this is what Yoruba want then they will say he’s running the government for himself and his family.

“The Igbos wants to control the politics of the South West. Can a Yorùbá man do same in south East? If they don’t fight the North, they’ll be fighting the South West”
