The controversial Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) top Scorer for 2023, Ejikeme Mmesoma, has expressed her displeasure over the claims by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for forgery of results.
NEWSTODAYNG recalled that JAMB had said to withdraw her result for manually inflating her score from 249 to 362 and announcing herself as the top scorer for the 2023 UTME.
In a viral video recorded and posted by the student, she said she is the owner of the result, adding that she is not capable of forgery.
She noted that she has been a brilliant student since her nursery school days, and she printed what JAMB offered her on their website.
In her words, “I am the owner of this result; I went to the JAMB portal to print, and this is what they gave me.
“My aggregate is 362, which is exactly how I downloaded it from the site. I am traumatized that JAMB is accusing me of forging my own result; I am not capable of doing such.
“They scanned the QR Code on my result, and it displayed one Omotola Afolabi with an aggregate of 138; they checked again, and the person scored 338 again; that means there is a problem somewhere.
“We went to the Commissioner of Education, me and my Principal. She sent it to JAMB officials, but they said it was a forged result because JAMB doesn’t have a record of such.
“They called the DSS over to come to our office; they took us to their office, and we made a statement.
“The DSS said they would contact us for further investigation, but instead of waiting for JAMB to wait for the investigation to be over, they posted that I forged my result.
“My brilliance didn’t start today; I have been taking first position since my nursery school days; even during my common entrance exams, I had 300 and above.” She said
