A Nigerian man identified as J.C Okechukwu has taken to his X handle to express his thought about the military intervention in Gabon.
Okechukwu, while reacting to the military overthrow of power in Gabon, stated that every injustice and slavery has an expiry date.
He tweeted “Because France’s interests on the continent of AFRICA far outweigh the interests of the Africans, a man this sick and incapacitated is allowed to stay on in power. And to add salt to injury, he then “wins” another term in office, while still in this vegetative state?!!! The same thing they did in Togo – only difference is the son of the Togo strong man isn’t sick. He’s healthy. But it’s the same tradition of inheriting presidential powers to protect the notorious scavenging legacy of France in AFRICA. Don’t even talk about Cameroon.
“Yet, France and Macron will have the effrontery to talk about legitimacy and illegitimacy in Niger? Yet they’ll open their mouths to teach you “democracy” and you’ll listen? Yet a French ambassador is sitting tight in Niger refusing to pack up immediately and get out!?
“Every injustice and slavery has an expiry date. Ours has expired. If you still can’t see, I wonder what you’re looking at”.
Some Nigerians reacting to the incident on their X handle wrote;
Uncle Nelson: “I’m in TOTAL support”
Nathaniel Osagie tweeted: ” 8 coup among Africa in recent years? African presidents now see themselves as Monarch. Democracy in Africa has become family business, chop make I chop”
