The Onisan of Isan Ekiti, Oba Gabriel Ayodele Adejuwon has bowed out as Chairman, Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers.
While delivering his valedictory speech at the meeting of the traditional rulers on Tuesday, he said the council under his leadership was able to mediate and resolve many issues tabled before it by the State Government by providing recommendations that stabilized the polity.
He added that the council offered quality advice to the government which in turn earned it more respect and dignity.
The monarch said his tenure optimized love, unity and cooperation among the traditional rulers, with all council members benefiting from his administration.
Oba Adejuwon listed his achievement in office to include upgrading of some Obas to higher levels, introduction of Ekiti Obas’
football competition, and the commissioning of council of traditional rulers’ chamber, among others.
He urged the incoming chairman to consolidate on the achievement and continue to play advisory role to the government
While appreciating Governor Biodun Oyebanji, the monarchs and everyone who contributed to the success of his tenure, the monarch said their contribution availed him the opportunity of remarkable achievements.
NEWSTODAYNG recalled that the Oba Gabriel Adejuwon assumed office of the Chairman, Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers on 1st August, 2021 while his tenure will expire on 31st July, 2023.
