…hails Oyebanji on prompt intervention to residents’ needs
The residents of Iwaro along Afao road, Ado Ekiti have lamented over deplorable road and electricity blackouts they have been experiencing for years in the society.
NEWSTODAYNG gathered that the Community has been in total darkness in the last six years due to non availability of transformer to supply electricity to houses.
It was also gathered that the major road that joined Iwaro with other communities has been in a dilapitated condition to the extent that residents always find it difficult to ply their vehicles homes.
Speaking on the agony experienced by people living in the community, the zonal Chairman of Iwaro Community in Ado Ekiti, Sunday Abraham explained that the area lack necessary amenities such as road, electricity and drainages, saying many have relocated to other communities due to the unpalatable development.
Also, the publicity secretary of the community, Afeniforo Omoniyi and a resident, Fatai Adetuba noted that whenever it rains, they find it difficult to access their houses due to the flood that normally takeover the roads.
The residents noted that they have written series of letters to previous administration but no positive response thus, appealed to governor Biodun Oyebanji to come to their aid by restoring electricity to the community and repair the road.
The residents therefore commended Oyebanji’s prompt intervention to the needs of residents since his assumption of office, noting that such attitude has gave him edge over others.
