The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ in Ekiti state has tasked Women on Self-development especially in the area of trending digital technology to be able to navigate through the challenging global economic advancement.
NAWOJ gave the advice in the congratulatory message to celebrate this year International Women’s Day (IWD).
The day which is globally celebrated every March 8 has theme for 2023 :’DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality.
The Women Journalists in a press statement by the Chairperson, Mrs Fatima Bello and the Secretary, Mrs Adewumi Ademiju encouraged women to equip themselves with digital skills to be able to spread their tentacles in areas of specializations.
“The advent of digital innovation is on ground. Technology has taken over the world. Adequate knowledge on new ideas and digital development is crucial to the advocacy of gender balance for relevance and to always be at the saddle of affairs”
“The Theme of IWD this year is a clarion call to relevant stakeholders on regular training and capacity building for women on Digital skill development”
