The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested the convener of the #RevolutionNow Movement, Omoyele Sowore at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.
Sowore was taken into custody immediately he arrived in Nigeria on Sunday morning.
Earlier on Sunday, SaharaReporters had reported that members of the Take It Back Movement and other activists gathered at the airport to await Sowore’s return.
He had been in the United States with his family. His flight departed from Washington Dulles International Airport at 6:14 AM EDT and arrived in Lagos at approximately 9:43 AM WAT.
