The Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire have won the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations title after defeating Super Eagles of Nigeria by 2 goals to 1.
In the tussle of war between the two African countries in Abidjan, capital of Cote d’Ivoire, Nigeria took the lead in the 38th minutes (Ekong) of the match before Host country equalised and eventually took the lead in the 62nd (Kessie) and 81st (Haller) minutes respectively.
Cote d’Ivoire claimed the title after 8 years, when they defeated Ghana on penalties in 2015 in Equatorial Guinea.
