…as workers flee premises for safety

Ekiti State House of Assembly has been shut down by Police over rumour of planned invasion by some people.

According to report, Police officers are at strategic locations in the House to prevent breaking down of laws and order.

Staff of the Assembly have also reportedly vacated their offices to their respective homes for safety.

In an interview with Newsmen, some workers who pleaded anonymity revealed that there was an order from the State Police Headquarters that workers should vacate the assembly in the interest of peace, saying some people were planning to attack the House of Assembly.

During a phone call with the speaker of the Assembly, Chief Gboyega Aribisogan said there was no crisis in the assembly

Recall that NEWSTODAY reported that Chief Gboyega Aribisogan was elected as the new speaker of the assembly yesterday after he defeated Mrs Olubunmi Adelugba from Emure-Ekiti.
