Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has distributed 24 Toyota Jeeps to members of the House of Assembly, despite prevailing economic challenges in the country.

The governor took to his X handle on Wednesday, to announce the distribution, sharing photos of the presentation ceremony.


In his statement, Governor Idris expressed his honour in fulfilling his promise to provide the lawmakers with the vehicles for their official engagements.


“I am honored to fulfill my promise by distributing 24 First Class Toyota Jeeps to the dedicated members of the Kebbi State House of Assembly for their official engagements.


“Today, at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi, I personally presented these vehicles, expressing gratitude for the Assembly’s cooperation and understanding. The harmonious working relationship between the Executive Arm and the Assembly has been paramount.”

Governor Idris emphasized the spirit of collaboration between the Executive and Legislative arms of the state government, highlighting the importance of their harmonious working relationship in serving the people of Kebbi State effectively.

“In the spirit of collaboration, I joined the Speaker of the Assembly, Rt. Hon. Usman Muhammad Ankwe, in a test drive of the Jeep allocated to him,” Governor Idris continued. “Let this be a symbol of our commitment to serving the people of Kebbi State diligently.”
