The National chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has revealed why Rabiu Kwankwaso, who was the Presidential Candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), would never become the president of Nigeria.
The former governor of Kano state, made this known at his residence in Abuja, while receiving the NNPP governorship candidate in the 2023 election Bauchi State, Senator Haliru Jika.
Ganduje, while addressing Jika, noted that Kwankwaso’s selfish interest would not make him achieve his presidential ambition.
He stated that the crisis rocking the NNPP was created by Kwankwaso’s inability to maintain a standing principle in party politics over the years.
According to him, “NNPP was a decent party until Kwankwaso joined and ruined it with his selfish interest”. He said.
While commending the return of Jika to the APC as a step in the right direction, Ganduje stressed that the reign of Kwankwaso as the national leader of the NNPP was “exploitive and deceptive.”
