Leeds United Football Club has fired their Head Coach, Jesse Marsch on Monday following the bad performances since the beginning of the season.
Leeds, who sat on 17th position in the premier league table with 18 points after playing 20 games disclosed this on the club’s Twitter handle on Monday.
“Leeds United can confirm head coach Jesse Marsch has been relieved of his duties,” the tweet read.
Marsch, former Leipzig coach, was appointed on a three-year contract to replace the sacked Marcelo Bielsa.
The last victory recorded by the club in the Premier League was on November 5. This led to fans of the club calling for the sack of Marsch.
“Jesse joined the club in February 2022 and was instrumental in keeping the club in the Premier League on the final day of last season,” the statement read.
It further noted that plans are ongoing to appoint a new coach.
“The process of appointing a new head coach is underway and we will continue to keep supporters up to date throughout the coming days,” it added.
