A newly appointed Magistrate, Musa Semwogerere has been arrested for posing as a woman to sit for exams for his girlfriend at the Law Development Centre (LDC) Lira, Uganda.
NEWSTODAYNG gathered that Musa was just promoted two weeks ago to the rank of grade one magistrate by the Judicial Service Commission before the incident.
Semwogerere fondly called Mukisa Anthony was caught red-handed on Friday, July 28, 2023, while writing exams for his girlfriend a Bar Course student identified as Irene Mutonyi.
Authorities at the campus reported the matter to the police and the suspect was arrested and charged with two counts of forgery, and a count of impersonation.
Following the incident, the Judiciary issued a statement terminating Semwogerere’s new appointment.
