A married man, Talabi Oluwaseyi Samuel has slumped at the Ejigbo Magistrates Court in Lagos State where he was arraigned over his inability to pay N70,000 debt.
According to report, the 42-year-old incurred the debt after he lodged a lady, Becky Alaneme, to Mayoral Hotel located at Unity Estate in Idimu, Lagos state for days without paying both her service charge and the hotel bills.
Samuel was arrested after he tried to escape from the hotel and was subsequently detained over his inability to settle the bills, which amounts to over N70,000.
He was however taken to court after the police efforts to make him settle the bills proved abortive.
According to report, drama occured when the bus, which brought him to the Court was about the drop him, he shouted and slumped inside the Courtroom.
He was on the floor of the Court room for several minutes when the Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. K.A. Ariyo, came to sit and ordered his remand in Police custody pending when he will be ready to be arraigned for the alleged offence.
It was also gathered that Samuel has refused to contact members of his family especially his wife who claims loves him so much.
