The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu has announced his decision to rejoin the All Progressives Congress (APC).

This announcement came after his departure from the APC to join the Accord Party for the 2023 governorship elections in Oyo State.

In a letter dated December 6, 2023, addressed to the Oyo State chairman and leaders of the APC, Adelabu outlined his intention to formally declare his return to the APC at a ceremony scheduled for December 15, 2023, at the party’s Oke Ado secretariat.

Adelabu’s departure from the APC was initially motivated by the internal crises and disagreements surrounding the state congress and the primary elections within the party. His decision to return is said to be influenced by consultations with national leaders and executives of the APC.

In his letter, he emphasized the importance of a unified approach and his commitment to work closely with the state executive, party leaders, and members.

As the serving Minister of Power in President Tinubu’s administration, Adelabu’s focus is on fostering a strong working relationship with the party at both national and state levels.

His goals include: advancing President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and ensuring the establishment of an APC-led government in Oyo State by 2027, aiming for significant development within the state.
