Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi has made a comeback to social media platforms after a brief hiatus, marking his return with a video on Instagram.

The 27-year-old athlete had previously deleted all his Instagram posts following harsh criticism of his performance during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Iwobi faced cyberbullying from Nigerian fans following the Super Eagles’ narrow 2-1 final defeat to the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire. The intense backlash prompted him to temporarily step away from social media platforms.

Despite the criticism, Iwobi received unwavering support from his teammates, the Nigeria Football Federation, and the Sports Ministry during the challenging period.

In his recent Instagram post, Iwobi shared a video giving his fans and followers a glimpse into his recent activities.

Additionally, he teased a snippet of what appeared to be his unreleased rap song, hinting at his multifaceted talents beyond the football field.

The post garnered support from several of his teammates, including William Troost-Ekong, Frank Onyeka, and Kenneth Omeruo, who took to the comment section to express their solidarity and encouragement and some still unhappy about his performance during the AFCON.
