In a recent exchange of words on X, formerly Twitter, popular singer and entrepreneur, Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, known as Mr Eazi, found himself in a heated disagreement with a fan who claimed his net worth was just $5 million.
The fan, who goes by the X handle @ZobaDeGreat, had initially praised Mr Eazi for what was described as a low-key wedding ceremony with Temi Otedola, the daughter of billionaire Femi Otedola.
However, the fan couldn’t resist taking a swipe at those who opt for extravagant weddings despite having much less wealth, stating, “Mr. Eazi’s net worth is around $5 million dollars. He just quietly married Otedola’s daughter. We didn’t even know about it. It’s only because of his new song release that we found out. But you, who doesn’t even have $2 million, both home and abroad, want to host a grand wedding with your second-year student wife who can’t even afford departmental dues.”
This comment didn’t sit well with Mr Eazi, who promptly responded to set the record straight. He firmly denied the $5 million net worth claim and warned the fan about the consequences of spreading false information.
In his words, “The Evil Genius Net worth is not $5m; that’s erroneously disrespectful! Please correct yourself before I sue you for defamation!!”
The exchange has since sparked a debate on social media, with fans and followers of Mr Eazi showing their support and awaiting any potential updates on the situation. It remains to be seen whether any legal action will follow but Mr Eazi has made his stance on the matter.
