The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Ekiti State Chapter has partnered with the state’s Commissioner for Youth and Development, Adesola Gold on girl child and women development.
The partnership was sealed on Wednesday when the association paid a courtesy visit to the office of the commissioner in Ado-Ekiti.
The NAWOJ Chairperson, Adewumi Ademiju said the purpose of the visit was to also familiarise with his office in addressing critical issues affecting the youths and women in the state.
Her words, “This partnership aims to enhance the impact of both the NAWOJ and the Ministry of Youth and Development in addressing critical issues affecting the youth and women in Ekiti State”.
On his part, Adesola Gold expressed gratitude to the association for recognizing his office, stressing that he acknowledge the formidable impact of journalism in its quest to model the society.
The commissioner signified the readiness of his ministry to collaboration, while also requesting the association to share their plans and programs with his office in order to synergize for the development of youths in Ekiti.
