A Nigerian woman identified on Twitter as “dunchichi” has been sentenced to one year imprisonment in UAE for tweeting a video and condemning the treatment of how Nigerians were illegally detained at Dubai airport.
It was gathered that she was arrested and sentenced to prison on her way back to Nigeria, with the UAE law enforcement agencies saying that the fact that she put out a video of the incident on the internet, it is considered a cybercrime in the UAE.
