The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), has on wednesday inducted the immediate past Ekiti State Chapter Chairman, Prince Sunday Adelabu ADEYEMI-ADEJOLU, as a new Fellow of the Institute.
In a statement by Kayode Adebusuyi,
Chapter Secretary, NIPR, Ekiti State, Adeyemi-Adejolu, who is also the Director in the Directorate of Protocol, Information and Public Relations at The Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti, was decorated with the NIPR Fellowship medallion and other 80 individuals by the Institute’s President, Mallam Mukhtar Zubair SIRAJO
at the NIPR 2021 AGM ceremony held at the International Conference Center, Abuja.
Upon his induction, Adeyemi-Adejolu thus becomes the third NIPR Fellows residing in Ekiti State, following Aare Afe Babalola in 2016 and Chief Femi Ajayi, who also in 2016 became the first NIPR professional Fellow resident in Ekiti State.
The NIPR Fellowship Induction and decoration ceremony was held to round off the two-day NIPR backed Citizens Summit on National Integration, Peace and Security.
NEWSTODAYNG recalled that the Governing Council of the Institute, had at a meeting chaired by the NIPR President on Monday and approved the recommendations of some Full Members and about 80 new Fellow-designates, who successfully scaled through the rigorous process of the NIPR Fellowship crucible.
Other 80 new NIPR Fellows inducted by the Institute include many Technocrats and Chieftains as well as statesmen and women across the public and private sectors, University dons, present and former cabinet commissioners across Nigeria, some men of the Armed Forces, among others.
The statement read in part, “The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), the body that license and regulates the practice of public relations in Nigeria on Wednesday inducted the immediate past Ekiti State Chapter Chairman, Prince Sunday Adelabu ADEYEMI-ADEJOLU, about 80 others as new Fellows of the Institute.”
“Adeyemi-Adejolu, who is also the Director in the Directorate of Protocol, Information and Public Relations at The Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti, was decorated with the NIPR Fellowship medallion along with others by the Institute’s President, Mallam Mukhtar Zubair SIRAJO at a very colourful NIPR 2021 AGM ceremony held at the International Conference Center, Abuja.”

Adeyemi-Adejolu is a trained Teacher and Journalist, he joined the NIPR in Akure, Ondo State about 30 years ago and was inducted as an Associate (ANIPR) in 1995.
He later upgraded to a Full Membership of the NIPR (MNIPR) in 2012, before his elevation as a Fellow (FNIPR) in 2022 after scaling through the NIPR Fellowship Upgrading Process.
He is a 1987 graduate of the University of Lagos who, among other qualifications holds an M.Sc degree in Personnel Psychology from the former University of Ado Ekiti, now Ekiti State University.
Adeyemi-Adejolu is also a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration, FCAI and a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management with other professional badges, apart from professional training, among others, at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism and the International Institute of Journalism.
