Nigerian social media influencer, Reno Omokri has expressed a questionable gaze at the two-day warning strike embarked upon by Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), a day to the verdict pronouncement of presidential election petition.
Reno cited his suspicion on his X handle, tweeting that the date set for the commencement of the NLC strike action is questionable, as the NLC president is a known supporter of Peter Obi of labour party.
He noted that the timing was too convenient for comfort, urging those whose eyes are fixated on the judiciary, to allow the judiciary breathe in order to pass the right verdict.
“Why go on a two-day warning strike on a day the Presidential Election Petition Court is to deliver its verdict? Why not do it after or before? This is suspicious, especially from an NLC President who openly supported and campaigned for Peter Obi during the election.
“There are 365 days in a year. This timing is just too convenient for comfort. The Wednesday, September 6, 2023, PEPC verdict must not be scuttled, and those who are shouting #AllEyesOnTheJuduciary must allowed the judiciary breathe.” He tweeted
