The INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu has clarified that there was no Court Judgement that ordered or compelled the Commission to resume Voters Registration saying, “it is fake news.”
The INEC Chair stated this at a One-day strategic consultative meeting with media executives in Lagos State, which is facilitated by INEC in concert with the EU funded programme, “support to Democratic governance in Nigeria” (EU-SDGN) and DAI Global LLC.
The Chairman said this against a report by a media organization, stating that a court had ordered the electoral arbiter to resume Voters Registration.
