As part of her contribution to the educational sector in Ekiti state, the First Lady of the State, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, has commenced teaching in the Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti (EKSU).

Dr Oyebanji expressed her excitedness towards contributing to the development of the educational sector in Ekiti state, adding that she commenced her journey as a lecturer at the Ekiti State University, where she taught students of Education management.

The first equally said she was impressed with the intelligence and brilliance posed by the 300 level students who were in attendance during the conference lecture on “Leadership in formal Organisations.”

She said, “I commenced teaching students of Education Management at Ekiti State University (EKSU) as a gesture of community service and to contribute my quota to the development of the education sector in my dear state.

“It was an exciting and worthwhile experience teaching 300 Level students a course, “Leadership in Formal Organizations,” which gave me an opportunity to share knowledge and interact with the students on Theories of Leadership. I was impressed with their brilliance on the topic treated”.

Addressing lecturers and management of EKSU, the first lady said she was glad to return to the university where she began her academic career as a graduate assistant and taught for twelve years before relocating to the University of Ibadan.
