The Chairman of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW)
Ekiti state council, Comrade Joseph Falope has commended the state Governor, Biodun Oyebanji for disbursing 50 bags of Rice to all Drivers across the 16 local governments in the state.

The Chairman stated this on Thursday in Ado-Ekiti, while distributing the rice to members of the Union.

The Chairman, popularly known as Olofooro, said the distribution was made possible by the Governor as part of the mechanisms to cushion the effects of subsidy removal.

In his words, “We received the bags on wednesday evening and he told us to distribute them from state branches to units no matter how little it might be.

“We didn’t share these bags of Rice among the Executives because Oyebanji gave us an order and we must follow it.”

While enjoining drivers in the state to beat drum of support for the Governor, he also praised Oyebanji for fixing some dilapidated major roads immediately he became Governor of the state.

“Governor Oyebanji is godsend. Before he assumed duty, Ado-aramoko road was not good, Ijan and Ikere roads were the same but he did it within one month.”
