The presidential candidate of the Labour party (LP), Peter Obi, on Friday visited the Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, bearing goodwill on the celebration of the monarch’s first anniversary of ascension to the throne.
The week-long programme will be rounded off on Sunday following a thanksgiving service at the Palace Church in Warri.
Meanwhile, activities that will mark the celebration of the anniversary follow up this Saturday at Ode-Itsekiri, the ancestral home of the Itsekiri, masked with cultural display, while homage paying would be performed by Itsekiri sons and daughters home and in diaspora.
