Nigerian music artist, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido revealed that he had lost his voice at the peak of his singing career but unnoticed by many people.

NEWSTODAYNG gathered that the nature of his singing voice from the onset has been one of concern to many of his fans worldwide.

Since releasing his first song, ‘Da Mi Duro’, the music star has been ridiculed for his loud husky voice, leaving fans to wonder how he copes with the genre of songs he takes on.

However, he disclosed that his doctor advised him to avoid unnecessary verbal communication in order to control his lost voice.

In his words: “Because my voice is already husky, when my voice goes, it’s so annoying. I like to express myself, and I speak a lot, so when I can’t talk, it’s annoying. It’s so uncomfortable when I have a show and my voice is not back, and I’m impatient, so I’ll just be coughing.
“I finds it frustrating anytime I have such issues with my voice”.

There have been several occasions where his voice has brought up various controversies and he has learnt to live with it and also managed to control it.
